Remembering Audrey May Wendler
This is a place to remember Audrey May Wendler: our daughter, our joy, and the little girl who gave us more in nine weeks than many lifetimes ever do. Her time here was brief, but her presence was not. She was distinctive from the beginning, with a spirit that felt outsized, immediate, and entirely her own. She was fragile in ways few people could fully understand, and unbelievably strong in ways none of us will ever forget.
Audrey endured extraordinary hardship, and she did so with relentless courage, surrounded by love. What remains with us now is not only the tragedy of what happened, but the truth of who she was and what she gave us while she was here. We could never have given her anything equal to what she gave to us. We only wish we could have given her more. We created this memorial to preserve her life with clarity, tenderness, and truth.
